The Royal Arcades of Art

August 2nd 24th, 2019

The Kubicki Arcades

The Royal Arcades of Art 2019 is the 10th edition of the art festival organized by the Royal Castle of Warsaw, which was launched in the Summer of 2010. It’s a festival focusing on theatre, dance and music, rich in theatre shows and concerts. Over 50 professional artists will present their skills in the course of 12th specially arranged events including 4 especially for children. You can familiarise Yourself with the attractiveness and diversity of the meetings organized this year in the form of the four consecutive weekend events between the 2nd and 24th of August.

Each event of the Royal Arcades of Art will take place in the unusual scenery of the Kubicki Arcades, right next to impressive Royal Castle gardens by the banks of the Vistula river. The musical component of the project is a selection of instrumental, vocal, cameral and solo concerts. The Artists will perform music from different eras, original compositions on various themes, improvisations, transcriptions and paraphrases of popular themes. In the musical part of the festival we wanted to propose previous centuries and contemporary music. The music that will be heard in the Royal Castle is a natural reference to the tradition of concerts at the Polish kings courts.

Under the Royal Arcades of Art festival we try for years now to show the general public interesting achievements of Polish theatre of image.

The festival constitutes a platform of interdisciplinary dialogue, exchanging artistic experiences or ideas, making new contacts and giving rise to future artistic-cultural activities. It is based on the assumption that the most effective form of cooperation between artists are common artistic undertakings.
